The Glasses We Wear
Life often gives us a set of glasses, a lens through which we view the world. We wear these
glasses without realizing they shape how we see everything, including ourselves. For many of
us, those lenses are shaped by early experiences, society, family, and expectations that are
often placed on us before we even understand them.
The world hands us these glasses, but what we don’t always see is that we have the power to
take them off. The way we’ve learned to view ourselves — the limits we think we have, the
stories we tell ourselves about what’s possible — can be reshaped. We don’t have to wear
those old lenses forever.
Each day is an opportunity to try on a new pair of glasses. You can start to see the truth of who
you really are, not just the reflection of what others expect you to be. The more we become
aware of the lenses we’ve been given, the more we can choose how we want to see the world
and ourselves.
Your perspective is your own, and it’s always within your power to change it. Awareness of the
glasses you’re wearing is the first step to seeing clearly and reclaiming your vision for your life.
